Founder & CEO


Carl L. Liederman is a leading international lawyer, strategist, and the Founder & CEO of LIEDERSHIP. He specialises in complex
cross-border transactions and has advised Fortune 100 companies, private equity firms, family-operated businesses, family offices, and leading institutions on a broad spectrum of issues, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, IPOs, finance, governance, and philanthropy.  He has served on multiple boards and is a frequent speaker at international conferences, summits, and family office forums.


During his 25‐year legal career, Carl has practiced law in New York, Washington, D.C., Paris, Geneva and London and led deals in over 70 countries. Having worked and built smaller offices of global firms, Carl has developed a business-focused approach that combines strategic problem solving with fit-for-purpose execution and implementation. He is a generalist with deep specialist skills.  He spent his formative years at Cleary Gottlieb and has served in many leadership and advisory positions throughout his career, including:


•  Head of European Corporate, Arnold & Porter


•  Head of European Mergers & Acquisitions and Head of Integration, Orrick


•  CEO, One Young World


•  Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board, Right To Play UK

Carl is a member of the bars of New York and Washington, D.C., and is a registered foreign lawyer in England & Wales. He received his JD from Yale Law School, where he was Co‐Editor-in‐Chief of the Yale Journal of International Law, and his BA from Pomona College, summa cum laude, valedictorian. He is fluent in French and conversant in Italian, Spanish and Greek. He is a citizen of the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom.


M&A Consultant


Sultan M. Ojjeh specializes in finance and management and is an M&A Consultant at LIEDERSHIP. Sultan has worked across a variety of industries, such as private banking, real estate finance, aviation, and gaming. He also has worked in several countries, including the US, Switzerland, Hong Kong, and Canada. Sultan is a founding member of a family-run philanthropic fund that is focused on health and education issues across the globe and which has helped over 500,000 people to achieve sustainable progress in their communities to date.


Sultan received his BS in Finance and Management from New York University, Leonard N. Stern School of Business, and his International Baccalaureate from the International School of Geneva, where he was President of the Student Council. He is trilingual in French, English, and Spanish.
